Spontaneous Painting - Creating The Symbol Journey, presents a new perspective on art and the power of symbols which expands consciousness and our innate potential. Spontaneous Painting is a 21st century method that everyone can do to create a culture of peace from the  inside out.

Part One of this book is an autobiographical summary of the experiences that led the author to develop The I.am.I™ Method of Spontaneous Painting. The paintings in Part Two document her empirical experimentation with Spontaneous Painting, sourced from the authority of her soul. Part Three is an academic exploration and a theoretical documentation of the psychological and quantum states of mind that can be experienced during the spontaneous painting process.

  • “Shamans were not only the first healers, but probably also the first artists…Natalie Robinson Cole, in her classic book *The Arts in the Classroom*, describes the ideal teacher as one who recognizes students’ creative abilities and gives them the confidence to unleash those abilities. This teacher “has access to the inner child.” Cole could be describing Dr. Bello, whose students include not only girls and boys, men and women, but families, groups, and society itself. If the shaman’s tribal sensitivity to the natural world and the human spirit can be restored on a planet where people have been uprooted, it will be at least in part the result of the work of Dr. Bello and other transpersonal artists. Her prototype is the shaman, not the technocrat. Her vision is not a “patriarchal paradigm” but a “humane paradigm,” a cultural perspective that accepts the interdependence of all life, the unity that humanity—grappling with crises of the environment, weapons of mass destruction, and the loss of meaningful and moral lives—can no longer afford to ignore.”

    — Stanley Krippner, PhD (USA)
    American psychologist, parapsychologist, researcher and author.

  • “This book is truly brilliant and meaningful —a joyful read, well worth cherishing.”

    — Dr. Ervin László
    Author of Creative Cosmos: A Unified Science of Matter, Life, and Mind

  • “The new scientific paradigm based on the primacy of consciousness is here and the question on everyone's mind is how we can access quantum consciousness and its causal power. Artist and author Susan Bello offers us a wonderful and powerful method: Spontaneous Painting. I highly recommend this method and this book.”

    Amit Goswami
    Quantum physicist and author of The Self-Aware Universe; God Is Not Dead;
    Quantum Spirituality: the Pursuit of Wholeness

  • “It is a book that will be of interest, above all, to therapists and educators who work with art or not.”

    — Pierre Weil,
    Founder of Unipaz (Brazil)
